來自加拿大多倫多的Jeff Healey雖然一歲時便因病失明，但他卻憑著堅強的毅力，從三歲起獲得第一把吉他開始，便近乎無師自通地練就一手優異的吉他彈奏功力，初出道便得以與Albert Collins、Steve Ray Vaugh等大師同台演出；甚至他更獨創所謂的「Lap-Top」演奏技巧，成為圈中頂尖的藍調搖滾吉他手之一。Jeff Healey領軍的三人樂團Jeff Healey Band於1988年發表首張專輯「See The Light」便贏得廣大迴響，不僅當中一曲「Angel Eyes」打入排行Top 5位置，躋身Top 30的專輯也為他們贏得葛萊美獎「Best Instrumental Rock Group」獎項的提名。
